When my history teacher had told me to check out Genghis Khan Birth of an Empire, I thought the title was lame and it would be a book that would waste my time. When I bought it I left the book lying in my book shelf for over 2 years, until I took a look and I started reading the first page. As I started reading it I could not put the book down, and now I have covered more than half of the book. Sometimes I ask my self "Why did the author give this name to such a thrilling and exciting book", until I realized that this is part of a series. I think that the author has written 3 more books for the series and I am willing to get them because this book is teaches you a lot about the ancient mongols by showing you how they faced there problems and also the way the tribes became allies and enemies.

While I was reading the book, there were a lot of battle scenes. This image shows a good example of how I visualized the fights while I was reading.

  1. I think that this teaches you that you should never judge a book by its cover because its whats on the inside that counts, no whats on the outside. This series of book sounds like something that would be very interesting for me to read. This series of books really reminds me of the Harry Potter series.
