Temujin and his family became more comfortable outside the Wolf Tribe. It was hard for them to get kicked out of there own tribe but they still tried hard to be safe and united. Temujin and his family made a small house to settle, and Temujin was training his brothers if any dangerous attack unleashes. Temujin and his brother got used to there location so if anything wrong happens they will know where to go. As Temujin was exploring the vast plains one day, he met two nomads that were running away from his old father's tribe. He told them to follow him, so on his way he got to know them. When Temujin was close from his house he made a deal with the nomads, he told them if they want to settle in his new house. They had agreed to join his tribe so they sprint to his house. Temujin's mom made the nomads comfortable, and Temujin was talking to his brothers. He told them that if anything goes wrong with the nomads they should kill them in spot. The nomads turned out to be good friends with his father and they were nice people, so Temujin decided that they are like family. Temujin was happy that he got    two new members, so he decided that he had a tribe.

Temujin at first was suffering with his family, but now they are more comfortable because they have a settled place and they have new members. Temujin is worried if his old tribe finds them because he knows that they will destroy his place and his whole family. Temujin is in search for new people to get in his tribe but he is selecting them carefully so that they do not betray him.

This picture is a example of Temujin and his families new settlement.

When my history teacher had told me to check out Genghis Khan Birth of an Empire, I thought the title was lame and it would be a book that would waste my time. When I bought it I left the book lying in my book shelf for over 2 years, until I took a look and I started reading the first page. As I started reading it I could not put the book down, and now I have covered more than half of the book. Sometimes I ask my self "Why did the author give this name to such a thrilling and exciting book", until I realized that this is part of a series. I think that the author has written 3 more books for the series and I am willing to get them because this book is teaches you a lot about the ancient mongols by showing you how they faced there problems and also the way the tribes became allies and enemies.

While I was reading the book, there were a lot of battle scenes. This image shows a good example of how I visualized the fights while I was reading.

This video is about Thomas Robinson's motivation after his grandmother, grandfather, and mother died in less than a month.
I think this video fits Temunjin and the theme of my novel because both Thomas Robinson and Temunjin had been having some tragic events in there lives and suddenly they faced all there problems and tried making things better for there loved ones. After the death of Thomas Robinson's closed ones Thomas only had his sister left. He said that everything that he is doing is for his sister. Temunjin had also the same goal as Thomas because he wanted to keep his mother, sister, and brothers safe and happy.
This video is really inspiring

Family Matters

While I was reading my book, many tragic things had happened to the main character (Temunjin) and his family. One of the most tragic things was the death of Temujin's father. While his father was coming back from a small journey to meet a neighboring tribe two men where following him and they had stabbed him in his stomach. When the father came back to his tribe he was in critical condition which lead to his death. The death of Temujin's father had caused many downsides to his family because his mother had just given birth to girl and the father's best friend had left Temunjin's family to die. When Temujin and his family were kicked out of the tribe, they were miserable and they did not have any motivation to survive by themselves. As Temujin saw all the misery his family was facing, he had given himself a motivation which was to keep his family safe and happy. After having boosting up his motivation, he started giving orders to his four brothers so they can search for food and shelter. With the orders Temujin had given his brothers, his family was living a more united and simple life.

After all these tragic things that had happened to Temunjin and his family, he had resolved the most important problems, and he now considered himself as the man of the house. Throughout the book you will see how Temunjin goes from the man of the house to the leader of a massive tribe.

Genghis Khan: Birth of an Empire Intro.

Genghis Khan Birth of an Empire is a historical fiction book written by Conn Iggulden in 2007. This book talks about a boy called Temujin that was the son of the Khan (leader) of a Mongol tribe. Temujin had lived a brutal life due to his father's death and the betrayal of the father's best friends. All these cruel acts had shaped Temujin's life which made him stronger inside and have a powerful conscience. Slowly by slowly he created a small military with his brothers and other near by tribes to defeat his father's best friend.

I started to read this book because my history teacher in the states had recommend it to me because he said it was a new series that I would truly enjoy. At first I thought the title looked like a boring book so I left the book sitting for three years in my book shelf until I took a look at it three days ago. So far I cannot put the book down because it has suspense and incredible details. I do not recommend this book to everyone but I would recommend it to people that like history and a lot of action.
